Hunting Dogs And Some Things That They Can Do To Help Out

Hey this is Claire but before we start I'm sorry that I didn't write posts for a couple of days. I didn't write them because I was very busy for the days I should have wrote posts because my Dad and I had wanted to be in The Warwick Neck 4th of July Parade so I was has helping out with the float business and it needed a lot of attention,work and some extra coats of paint and I guess I forgot about writing  posts but float or no float  either way I wouldn't have the time I needed to write some good posts. So todays post will be extra long to so I can make it up to you. Does that sound okay to every one?

Now that I got that over with now I can tell you what todays topic is. Its Hunting Dogs And What They Can Do To Help Out. That is a long title. Hunting dogs are a group of dogs who are all have a certain instinct and like to hunt.
Some ways that dogs hunt is by Flushing, Retrieving and Pointing. An example of Flushing is if a hunter is shooting water fowl. The dog would scare the bird, causing the bird to fly into the air, leaving a perfect target for the hunter.

Retrieving is when a dog sees the animal being shot and retrieves the bird, which means to find the animal and bring it back. Some dogs such as the Golden Retriever are excellent at retrieving because they have something called "soft mouths". This means that they can bring the animal back without damaging it.

Pointing is when a dog sees where an animal is but the owner doesn't. It will stand perfectly straight like an arrow, pointing directly at where the animal has landed so that the owner can locate the animal and shoot it.

Sometimes dogs howl when they find prey. This can help the hunter by telling him "Owner, look, I found the animal you are looking for." Dogs howl because of their natural instinct from their wolf ancestors. Thanks for reading! Hope you like the video!

Police Dogs And A Couple Things That They Do To Help Police Officers And People.

Hey this is Claire. Today's topic is going to be interesting because I will be talking about police dogs! Does that sound cool? Police dogs are trained to help officers find the criminal. These are some ways the pups help the police. By sniffing out the bad guys scent and using it to locate where it is coming from, by chasing the person, tackling and pinning that person on the ground till the cops arrive. Some dogs are told to sniff out bombs and drugs and alert their owners about it and warn everyone else "don't step here there is explosives." Police dogs are very smart and brave. They might have to go through years of training before they are allowed to go on their first mission. It takes a lot of patience to train a police dog for missions. 
That's it for today everyone! Now I have to go think of the next topic for the next post. Creating a blog is a lot of hard work so I am very proud when I see the finished post. Sometimes I am so tired after I want to take a nice, long and refreshing nap . But I love to share everything I know about dogs with you.
