Riptide's Story and Guest Puppy Renegade!
In 2014 on Christmas Day an old man who had a girl dog had 9 puppies. The old man was worried because of his old age he couldn't take care of the parents and their pups. So the 9 pups and their mom were driven to the watchful eyes of their foster mom, Nancy. Sadly the dog father was a stray so no one knows where he came from or what happened to him ever since the family of his were driven away to their next home. So the large family was raised without their doggy birth dad.
At the foster home all of the puppies snuggled close to their only other dog member besides their brothers and sister, their mom. Most of the pups got their share of milk right away all except for one pup. He had to wait the longest. He was the runt of the litter, the runt means he was the smallest of his family. All the rest of his family was bigger and stronger than him. His name was Little Man. Little Man was always going to be the tiniest pup of the Smart family.
After a few weeks of growing the pups were put into a trailer full of crates where they were to wait until the the trailer reached CT where they would meet their new owners. They would learn some exciting new things like their new names, how to sit,lay down, roll over, crawl and all the things that their owners had chosen that the pup they adopted should learn. The story that has this sneak peek has some of the stories about the crazy things that Riptide has done.
And for our guest puppy Renegade! Renegade lives in Butler Pennsylvania. He is a Labradoodle. They actually don't shed and are super smart. Renegade knows how to play baseball. When Max hits the ball Renegade runs and grabs the ball then tags his owner with it. I wonder if I can train Riptide to play baseball like Renegade. It would be cool. See you on the next post! Claire
